About Odin Metrology, Inc.

Odin Metrology, Inc. is a metrology facility located in Thousand Oaks, California. We specialize in the calibration of Brüel & Kjær instruments, though we also calibrate sound and vibration products from other manufacturers including PCB, Larson Davis, Quest, GRAS, CEL, Ono Sokki, Endevco, Dytran, and Kistler.

After Brüel & Kjær closed their west coast service and calibration center in 1995, Odin Metrology, Inc. was formed with the purpose of continuing to provide quality calibrations for Brüel & Kjær's western customers with fast turn around time and reasonable calibration prices.

Odin Metrology, Inc. is managed by Torben Ehlert, who was Brüel & Kjær's western calibration manager for over 30 years, and originally worked at the Brüel & Kjær headquarters in Copenhagen, Denmark. Odin Metrology's technical staff includes Harold Lynch, also a former Brüel & Kjær employee who has been in the instrument repair and calibration field since 1987.

The capabilities of Odin Metrology, Inc. include all necessary procedures, standards and systems to provide recognized calibrations of sound and vibration instrumentation. All calibrations are performed with reference standards traceable to NIST. Odin Metrology, Inc. is compliant to ANSI/NCSL Z540-1, ISO Guide 25, ISO 9001-2015 and ISO 17025. Our primary acoustic standards are calibrated by Brüel & Kjær or at the DANAK standards laboratory at the Brüel & Kjær factory. Our primary vibration reference standards are calibrated by Brüel & Kjær using the laser interferometer method for highest accuracy. This method is an absolute calibration. Our primary measurement standards for pressure, voltage, current, frequency, resistance, capacitance, temperature and humidity are calibrated yearly by outside laboratories traceable to NIST.

Odin Metrology, Inc. performs over 4,000 acoustical and vibrational calibrations per year. Odin Metrology, Inc. participates in interlaboratory comparison programs with other metrology labs. Odin Metrology Inc. is quality approved by almost all major aerospace companies and western industries.
